Frequently Asked Questions
What is Remote Online Notarization (RON)?
Remote Online Notarization allows you to have your documents notarized using secure audio-video technology. You meet with a commissioned notary online, verify your identity, and sign electronically—all without leaving your home.
Is online notarization legal in Pennsylvania?
Yes. Pennsylvania allows commissioned notaries to perform Remote Online Notarization. Your notarized documents are fully valid and accepted in all states and agencies that recognize RON.
Can you notarize documents for people in other states?
Yes. As long as I am physically located in Pennsylvania, I can notarize for signers located anywhere, as long as their state or institution accepts online notarization.
What types of documents can be notarized online?
Most common documents can be notarized online, including:
• Power of Attorney
• Healthcare Directives
• General affidavits
• Parental consent forms
• Identity verification forms
• Financial documents
• School/employment forms
• Real estate documents (if allowed by receiving party)
Some documents may require witnesses—see below.
Do you provide witnesses?
Yes. If your document requires witnesses, I can provide up to two online witnesses for most personal documents using my RON platform. Please notify me during booking.
What documents cannot be notarized online?
The following typically cannot be notarized online:
• Documents requiring in-person presence by law
• Certain real estate documents (depending on receiving institution)
• Documents intended for countries that do not accept RON
• Vital records (birth, marriage, death certificates) — You must request official copies from the issuing office.
If you're unsure, contact me before booking.
What do I need for my appointment?
You must have:
• A valid government-issued photo ID
• A smartphone or computer with a camera and microphone
• A stable internet connection
• The document(s) you need notarized (PDF preferred)
How does identity verification work?
Before your session, the platform will run:
• A multi-step ID validation scan
• Credential analysis of your photo ID
• Knowledge-based authentication (KBA) questions, if required
This is required for all online notarizations.
How long does the notarization take?
Most online notarizations take 5–10 minutes once the session begins.
For multiple documents or signers, plan for 10–15 minutes.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is simple:
• Online notarization: $35
• 2-Document Bundle: $50
• 3-Document Bundle: $75
• Additional notarizations: $5 each
• Second signer: $20
• Rush (within 2 hours): $20
• After-hours: $25
Full details are on the Pricing page.
How do I receive my notarized document?
Immediately after your session, you will receive a secure, digitally signed PDF with a tamper-evident seal and audit trail.
What if I make a mistake on my document?
If the mistake is discovered before notarization, you may correct it and re-upload the document.
If it's discovered after notarization, the document must be re-notarized (additional fees may apply).
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are available only if the notarization has not been completed.
Rush fees, after-hours fees, and service fees are non-refundable once the session has started or the booking has been confirmed.
What if the platform cannot verify my identity?
If identity verification fails, the session cannot proceed.
In this case, your notarial service fee may be refunded, but platform verification fees are non-refundable.
How soon can I book an appointment?
You can book immediately using my online scheduling system.
Rush appointments (within 2 hours) are available during posted business hours.
Can you notarize for two signers at the same time?
Yes. Multiple signers can join the same online session.
A second-signer fee applies.
Is my online notarization secure?
Absolutely. All sessions use encrypted transmission, secure storage, tamper-evident technology, and a complete audit trail—all meeting state requirements.
